Ho'kay. So the chat system was released today, well an alpha version anyway, and I have to say they did a great job. Through a bit of packet sniffing some of us found the protocol was not very...amazing but it's set to change anyway, so for now, it looks awesome. And what it can do, it does well.
...That is until it crashed, but hey, that's what we have the IRC channel for, amirite?
After the chat system is updated a bit more, I'm going to have a try at writing a client for it, for Mac OS X Leopard using MacRuby, a Ruby 1.9 interpreter written in Objective-C that has an interface to the Cocoa library, meaning epic GUI, meaning workable client.
Will probably have standard features and others that I can think of. Besides that.
Oh, I need to get my Dell XPS M1730 fixed, I spilled something on it, I'm taking it to the Geek Squad later. They'll end up sending it to Dell and I'll see it next month I hope. >_> I'm going to pentaboot Vista, XP, Leopard, DSL and Ubuntu on it when I get it back. And that is NOT overkill IMO.
